Sure enough is. It is located in what is considered Downtown Jacksonville. It is Precisely located along the St. Johns River, south of Lavilla and the Downtown Core, and immediately north of Riverside. It is roughly bounded by McCoy’s Creek and the CSX Railroad lines to the north, the river to the east, and Interstate 95 to the south and west.
The Brooklyn neighborhood in Jacksonville, FL was originally a residential suburb of the city. For most of its history the area didn’t have much in the way of commercial activity but it now has a number of business high rises. Homes in the area are in the $200,000 range.
The area was first settled in 1801 and after the Civil War a man named Miles Price sold the most southern half which developed into what is now known as Riverside. Miles developed the land the remained.
